Support Groups

What is a Support Group?

A support group is a group of individuals coming together who give and receive help, advice, friendship and emotional support while learning about problems that they encounter in their life, sometimes led by a therapist or person of experience. A support group includes education and methods for coping.

Why should I attend a Support Group?

  • Give and recieve encouragement from others who are going through the same experience
  • Learn about community resources and get help with connecting to them
  • Make new friends

Share Solutions - Make a Statement - Speak Out

You are needed because you are unique! No one else is quite like you. A support group is protective, private and progressive. It offers programs and opportunities to learn about yourself and others with resources, respect and a rational approach together. Take some time and join a support group which best fits your personal needs.

For a complete list of support groups and times, see our support group schedule below. For general information, call Mary Peterson (269) 441-0948.
